Stay on Credit Course with Online Classes

online_educationI think the person who set the five class per semester / four year model to secure a bachelors degree was a glutton for punishment. Four years to get a BA or BS is just not very feasible these days. However, some students have turned to online education to help them stay the four year course.

When I shuffled off to college there were twelve of us in my group that began our march toward a bachelors degree at the same time, and of the twelve only two earned their degree in four years (I was not one of them). The fact is that most students don’t have the luxury of focusing solely on their studies. Most students also need to work, in addition to going to school, to make ends meet. Trying to juggle both work and a full boat of classes is a “titanic” recipe for disaster. And though a 190 meter iceberg won’t be staring you down you may face educational challenges that force you to withdraw from a class if you are failing, which will cost you money and hurt your attempted / completed class ratio.

That’s why if you are one of the many students trying to balance both work and school you may want to consider an online class to go along with the other four ground campus classes you are taking. The flexibility online education provides tends to fit better with a students busy schedule. In fact, it is increasingly common for students to take this dual approach.  Today’s Hybrid Students Blend Tradition with Technology.

Students can either take an online class through their current school, provided they offer them, or take an online class at another institution and transfrer the credits over.  Search from over 280 online colleges.
