What types of courses should you expect to take?

If you are starting a nursing degree online, there are a few courses that you should expect to have to take. Typically, course-types will range from anatomy and physiology to psychology and communication. Examples of specific courses on offer and that are expected parts of a nursing school program are such courses as Physical and Emotional Illness, Sociology, Microbiology and Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology. Other courses to expect when taking a nursing school degree online include general psychology and fundamentals of nursing.

Good basic information. However, it should be explained that online nursing classes do not provide the hands on experience that a university may offer. You may need to find an internship to supplement the online course.

  28. Tracy says on February 27, 2010 at 4:00 pm:

    Hello,
Good info. I thought about going nursing until I found out the turn around in the field. Articles should not only go over what is available, but also what is going on with it in the world. Turn around from what I have researched is 6 months.
There are also way to many people trying to get into the field because of the economy instead of getting in because they really want to do it.

I’m thinking about becoming a nurse. Good information.
