Online Education, Time Well Spent
Earlier this month I posted a blog entitled Top 5 Reasons Online Classes Rock, which spurred some terrific questions that I spun into followup blogs.
Most recently I enjoyed David R’s very insightful comment centering around the flexibility students are afforded in the online degree world.
David R wrote: I wish all of my classes were offered online. I would “Jump, Jump, Jump, to it.” I took one online class which was part of my degree program. It gave me the flexibility of being in the comfort of my home. In addition, it allowed me to be there for my children and not miss a minute of their time out of school. Most times parents miss their children’s important days of growing while attempting to enhance their education to make a better life for their family. We definitely need a CHANGE in our Higher Education system when it comes to online degree seeking educators, not only for the betterment of ourselves, but for our children.
I couldn’t have said it better myself David. Those formidable years pass by so quickly and time truly is of the essence. Fortunately online degree programs are more robust than ever today, giving students like yourself greater flexibility than ever before. Online classes/degree programs really allow you to take control of your future while still being there for the most important moments in your life.

There are many classes available for professionals from many industries. However, the online education industry is fairly new so if you are looking to take online courses, you must make sure that the course being offered is accredited and the coursework itself is written by experts.
I took an online class once and loved it. This year there are more options and I will definitely take another online class.
