Central Penn College Adds New Hybrid Programs
Central Penn College is a great school that offers a lot of career focused courses both online and in the classroom. Recently, the college has expanded to include 3 new hybrid programs, bringing together online and traditional learning formats. Hybrid programs are offered by more and more colleges nationwide, giving students the flexibility of an online program, but also the hands-on approach of campus-based courses. The new hybrid courses at Central Penn are offered for the legal studies, paralegal, and medical assisting degree programs. While online classes are inherently flexible, the campus courses are also offered both during the day and evening for convenience. These newly implemented courses will be starting up for the summer 2011 session, beginning in July. Click here to learn more.
Online Programs
For those students who can’t make the commitment to a campus or hybrid program, Central Penn offers a variety of courses completely online as well. They offer programs for bachelor and associate degrees, as well as certificate courses. Their programs include:
- Accounting
- Business Administration
- Corporate Communications
- Homeland Security Management
- Information Technology
- Computer Information Systems
- Criminal Justice
- Entrepreneurship and Small Business
- Marketing
- Travel and Tourism Operations
- Human Resources
- Intelligence Analysis
Online Class Technology
Like many colleges and universities, Central Penn College utilizes Blackboard for their online classroom interface. For students who aren’t already familiar with online class technology, Blackboard can be logged into from anywhere, and serves as the online classroom, allowing discussions, file uploading, grade tracking, and much more. Campus-Based Programs
In addition to their online school, Central Penn has 3 campus locations – Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Lehigh Valley, PA. These schools offer most of the same courses you can get online, along with many more. The largest difference is that there are some programs that cannot be taught online, as they require hands-on training. Most programs are offered in accelerated 11 week terms, allowing busy students to still pursue their degree on campus.
