Online Education Has Economic Advantages
There has been a lot of debate about whether or not online education is a money saver. There are definitely valid points on both side of the argument. The truth is that online education does save you money, but just not for the reasons that most people think.
The cost of online classes is pretty much the same as on-campus classes. However, there are other forms of cost savings. Usually, online education degrees are streamlined so you do not need to take as many classes to complete a program as you would at a liberal arts college. Therefore you are paying for fewer classes and saving money on the long run.
Secondly, online education saves you transportation money. Since you can complete your online courses from the comfort of your own home you do not need to pay for gas or public transportation to get to campus.
Finally, online education can save you money because you can continue to work while you complete your education. Online education is so convenient that it can work around your schedule. If you work during the day you can complete your coursework at night or on the weekends. The opposite is true too!
If you are considering an online degree or even just one online class, Edvisors.com can help you find the right school and the right degree program to fit your individual needs.

wow, this is good to know! I will definitely take an online class soon
That was an interesting article.
Online classes is the most convenient option out there today. A student who is a full time employee, has limited time to sit in class. Not only is it a good idea, but its not time consuming as it would the time necessary to drive to the school.
Online learning is great for students who have other obligations such as working full time, this flexibility allows the student to continue to work and complete their study and assignments daily which correspond with their availability.
Online classes are great if you have a busy schedule but you don’t get all the experience you might want
online learning is a convenient experience that saves time and money. it also doesnt inturrupt the life of a student, for those that lead hectic lived.
Online classes are absolutely a great solution for some, but nothing beats the hands on direct experience of actually going to classes in person.
I have taken several on line courses, which saved me a lot of time and very convienent…
I feel that online learning is a good idea, because some students don’t have a way of transporting themselves to college so online learning would benefit those students
I AGEREE THAT ONLINE CLASSES ARE GREAT!MY MOM IS RECENTLY TAKING ONLINE CLASSES AND SHE LOVES IT.She works night shift so she takes classes around her work schedule. The classes are a breeze!
I didn’t realize that the classes were more streamlined like that…I think that’s a good thing especially with gen ed classes
ONLINE CLASSES COULD SAVE ALOT ON EXPENSES, BUT YOU MISS THE ON CAMPUS EXPERIENCE OF MEETING NEW PEOPLE, AND IT’S TO TEMPTING TO GOOF OFF
Online seems like it would be a good idea, your busy with an occupation such or you have a family, but if you just a student I’d say go to a college. Being social is an important aspect of life.
It is a good idea but what about the experience???
i think it is a good idea but what about the experience??
online classes is great even when your taking care of your children
It’s a good idea. It depends on students who prefer to go to classes or take online classes
Yeah online schooling is great. You can take your time to do what needs to be done. No more getting up early.
online education is nice, but what about interacting with the teacher and other students. it just doesn’t have the same pecks.
I agree with the article. Online education is a money and life saver especially for non traditional students. I have 4 children at some and not so long ago I was working. If it were not for the fact I went to school on line, I would not be working on my degeree. So I thank the online schooling trendsetters who made a way for me to raise my family and still persue my dreams!
i think online class will be a good idea, but the fact that learning from a hands on training is a lot different forms from an online class.
yeah i agree that online school saves you money on maybe gas for the drive also for dorms but i also think that the interaction with students and teachers is also nessecary
thank you for the helpful information.
i personally believe that online education does not give you the full collage experience and does not neccisarily save you money because if you have a question or you dont understand what you are learning you dont have a teacher you can personally go talk to in order to get a full understanding.
ONLINE EDUCATION
I think online education helps, for example I know a kid who in 10th grade but he can not read ! I think it is helpful to all those who need it like him and kids who are sick and can not go to school. At least it helps them how to read, their math, english, and other subjects to learn . Brenda Munoz
I would have to agree that online education is good. I actually have thought about getting my degree online. there isnt the distraction or pressure of other people and i can work in a comfortable enviornment on my own time… like when i work best at night!
It would be nice not to have to drive to school. I however would miss walking to class.
I think that online classes are a good idea. my mom completed a few and liked it alot, but i think i would miss the atmosphere of college and its experience.
I enjoy online classes and everything that this article has said I believe is correct, but the expense is a lie. Attending online clases can be expensive; but that depends on what college or university your going to be attending.
I think that in online education you don’t really learn as well like in a real classroom.
I agree. But I still think interaction with the students and being in the real classroom is very important.
I take online classes and I love it!
I am a senior in high school and currently took advantage of the dual enrollment for senior English online and even though there is a cost it will benefit me in the long run when I start attending college. More students should be involved and the schools should push this to the ones that are capable of the load.
good idea, but you don’t get the experience like you would at a on-campus college.
online classes seem like a good idea.
